Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world. The Kanchenjunga mountain range covers eastern part of Nepal and India. Kanchenjunga Trek route is opened for foreigners for trekking in only 1988. Actually Kanchenjunga is a remote and undeveloped area as compared to other trekking destinations of Nepal. However Kanchenjunga treks is a really paradise for the adventure lovers. Here trekkers get an opportunity of a great walking through terraced fields, forests of birch, bamboo and rhododendron. Himalayan bear, barking deer and the lesser panda are among the rich animal and bird life that fill most of part of Kanchenjunga trekking. The breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Makalu with beautiful glaciers offers further excitement to all trekkers along this trekking trail. Besides nature the trekkers also witness culture and lifestyle of Limbus and rais in this trail. These are two dominant ethnic groups in eastern Nepal. Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu international airport. Transfer to the hotel. Orientation of
the trip. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Biratnagar by flight. O/n in hotel at Biratnagar.

Day 03: Morning fly to Taplejung. Afternoon trek to Lali Khark. O/n at Canmp.

Day 04: Lali Khark   to Kade Bhanjang (2200m). O /n in camp.

Day 05: Kade Bhanjang to Phurungde (1965m). O/n in tent.

Day 06: Phurungde to Yamphuding (2300m). O /n in camp.

Day 07: Yamphuding to Omje khola(2345m). O /n in camp.

Day 08: Omje Khola to Torontan(2990m). O /n in camp.

Day 09: Torantan to Tseram(3870m). O /n in camp.

Day 10: Rest in Tseram. O /n in camp.

Day 11: Tseram to Ramche(4625m). O /n in camp.

Day 12: Rest and Explore around the Yalung Base Camp.Back to the Ramche. O /n in camp.

Day 13: Ramche to Yalung (4800m). O /n in camp.

Day 14: Yalung to Selele Pass(5109m). O /n in camp.

Day 15: Selele Pass to Ghunsa (3425m). O /n in camp.

Day 16: Ghunsa to Khambachen(3960m). O /n in camp.

Day 17: Khambachen to Pangpema(4940m). O /n in camp.

Day 18: Day hike to the Kangchenjunga Base Camp. Back to the Pangpema. O /n in camp.

Day 19: Pangpema  to  Khambachen. O /n in camp.

Day 20: Khamgbachen to  Ghunsa. O /n in camp.

Day 21: Rest in Ghunsa. O /n in camp.

Day 22: Ghunsa  to  Kyapra. O /n in camp.

Day 23: Kyapra to Sekhathum. O /n in camp.

Day 24: Sekhathum  to  Chirwa. O /n in camp.

Day 25: Chirwa to  Phurunde (2000m). O /n in camp.

Day 26: Phurumba  to  Suketar(Taplejung) . O /n in camp.

Day 27: Morning fly to Biratnagar. Late afternoon fly back to Kathmandu. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.

What is Camping Trekking? How is it organized?

In a camping trek you will sleep in our tents. The tents are roomy. The sleeping pads/ mattresses are comfortable. All food are prepared and served by our camping crew. Food you get is hygienic and fresh.

What equipments should I bring?

You should bring your personal wear like walking boots and sand shoes, sandal, a water-and wind-proof jacket, woolen shirts, T-shirts, a thick pullover, shorts/skirts and trousers/track suits. Thermal underwear is necessary for high altitudes More

What kind of food will be served while on trek?

You will be served freshly cooked food during trekking. In all tea houses/ lodges along trekking trail Western, Continental and Nepali dishes are available. Three meals a day will be provided you in full board (Gold) package.

How long do we trek per day and how high?

Up to a maximum of 5-6 hours a day with lunch breaks along the trail. The maximum altitude is depends upon which trek you are going. In Nepal normally the maximum altitude of most of the trekking falls between 3500m to 5000m.

What is the best season for trekking in Nepal? And can I go trekking in the months of January- February and June- August?

What happens if I get sickness during trekking?

To some trekkers when they go over 3000 m they may feel some affect of altitude sickness like shortness of breath and possibly a light headed which is fairly common. Sometime they may also get diarrhea as well as sprains and muscle aches. More
