Tour Overview

Honey Hunting tour  Nepal is an activity of collecting Honey from the nests of wild Bees built on steep cliffs. It is undertaken by experienced villagers who hang from cliffs as tall as 300m with the help of homemade hemp ropes and ladders. Observation of this activity provides you a kind of breathtaking pleasure and makes you surprise from the amazing Nepalese tradition.

Honey hunting tour Nepal is an ancient tradition of local villagers handed down through generations. This activity got immense publicity when Eric Valli, director of Oscar nominated film Caravan, published a book and made a film on honey hunting. The honey is harvested twice a year, once in April-May-June and again in October-November. The wild honey has medicinal value and fetches a great deal of money in the international market.
