Numbur Himal Cheese Circuit Trekking trail is another choice for visitors seeking virgin trekking areas in Nepal. It is named in honor of the Mt. Numburchuli (6959m) and one of the Nepal’s first yak cheese factories, established in 1957 AD. Unique tourism activities in this newly explored trail include soft to adventurous eco camping experience, rock climbing, exploring high altitude lakes, wilderness walks through the mountain forest, glacier walks, base camp treks, high pastures and yak cheese making Sherpa cultural experiences, spiritual and meditation visits at monastery, biodiversity and climate change study, interaction with rural Sherpa people. The mountain views including Everest range, Numburchuli, Gaurishankar, Jugal and Langtang Himal are sensational and the Panchpokhari pass (4605m) and Gyajo La (Thulo Lapcha) pass at 4880m are the most adventurous passes with views extending north into Tibet and south P-Key and Tabe danda.

Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu international airport.  Transfer to the hotel. Orientation of the trip. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri/ Shvalaya (187 km- 9 hours). O/n at mountain lodge

Day 03: Start trekking from Shivalaya to  Khahare (2174m- 4hours walking). O/n in camp

Day 04: Khahare - Panipakha(3108m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 05: Panipakha - Maanedanda(3940m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 06: Maanedanda – Jatapokhari/Panchpokhari (4515m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 07: Panchpokhari -Tare (4140m-5h walking). O/n in camp

Day 08: Tare- Gyazo La Pass- Ngeju (3690m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 09: Ngeju- Lhachhewar (2665m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 10: Lhachhewar- Kyama (2380m- 4h walking). O/n in camp

Day 11: Kyama-  Gumdel (2255m- 2h-3h walking). O/n in camp

A typical trekking day on a Camping:

A typical trekking day means hiking from morning to afternoon only. Each morning after packing bags and having a good breakfast, we set off on the day’s walk. All we need to carry is a small day pack containing water bottle, sun cream, hat, raincoat, camera and warm jumper just case. Rest of your materials will carry by porters. You just need to pack your belongings before the breakfast. The walk will be 3-4 hours in the morning until for lunch in midday. The lunch will be prepared in the grassland beside the Trail. In between your get sufficient time to roaming with villagers, take photographs and enjoy the flora and fauna. After that walk will gradually shorter. We usually reach camping spot in time for afternoon tea but this is not a fixed schedule. But evening camp will set near village area.  Remaining period of afternoon can be spent by exploring the village or simply relaxing with a good book. Local food will provide at dinner by cook and kitchen crew and they were fully aware of food hygiene and green travel.

After dinner, the evening will often be spent playing cards and reliving the day’s adventures or writing diary if you habitual of it before heading off to bed for well-earned sleep.

Overnight at tent during trekking

While in camping trekking we provide you private medium size of tent which is enough for two people. Although you'll be sleeping on foam mattresses placed on the ground, we are fully conscious of well earn sleep while camping cause hiking up to 5/6 hrs per day need peaceful sleep. So we select tent according to size of person so that s/he have enough space for sleep.

Meal during the camping Trekking

In camping trekking you will have breakfast and dinner in the tent. Lunch will be taken at the trail side at camp site. The camping chef will prepare meal for you. You will serves the traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentis) local vegetable, noodles, French fries, pasta, soup as well as variety of combination of western and local cuisine. We assure that foods are fully hygiene, tasty meal and kitchen crew is fully aware of general cleanliness and personal hygiene.

Safety drinking water in camping

We suggest you to drink boiled filter water. For boiled water ask to guide or camping crew or bring chlorine tablets to purify the normal water available in the camp site. Although mineral water is available in most places which is better choice and there is no provision to dispose of the plastic bottles, but we encourage the guest to do what they can protect the environment.

Shower and toilet facilities in camping trekking

In camping trekking toilets tent is usually we fix nearby camp site. You suggest having your own toilets paper during whole trekking period. Hot shower means a bucket of hot water only but availability of hot water can ask to your guide or camping crew. For ecological reasons please try to limit your use of hot water. For shower we will provide you shower tent. Please not that at higher altitude and in colder seasons there is rare chance to have enough hot water for all the trekkers. If the water is frozen then ask your guide to get warm bowl of water.

Re charge and Electrical items in camping

We highly recommend you to bring Solar panel by yourself for batteries re-charge. Normally we will set the camp nearby village. In some village you can recharge your batteries with electricity or solar power sources. In Nepal 220 - 240 volt 50 MHZ (50 cycles per second) power is supplied. Just need to have a plug adaptor in case of socket fitting, which you can buy in Kathmandu before the trip since the plug in Nepal might be different. You might have to pay small amount fee for recharging facilities.
