Sailung indigenous trekking trail offers unique living exposure of a culturally diverse area of Nepal with beautiful natural landscape. Sailung Peak in the north and Sun Koshi River flowing along the south mark is the start and end point of this trekking route. It offers mainly local home stay accommodation experiences offering trekkers a rare opportunity to familiar with culture and lifestyle of six different ethnic groups (Sherpa, Newar, Thami, Tamang, Yolmo and Majhis). The week long trail takes visitors from a starting elevation of 3146m at Sailung to 533m at Lubughat by the Sunkoshi river. So this trekking suits all types of trekkers particularly those wishing to avoid extreme high altitudes without missing the view of Himalayan panorama. The unique tourism activities which every trekker gets here are soft trekking, panoramic mountain views, visit to Silung and its unique environs, monastic visits at Rajveer, temple visit at Khandevi, forest walk, bird watching, traditionally decorated homes, sunset and sunrise views and amazing cultural performances.
