Annapurna circuit trek 10 days is known as one of the best treks in the world. This trek starts from the tropical valley of Besisahar and follows river Marsyangdi valley and reaches the world’s largest pass called Thorong-La 5416m above the sea level. It passes through many Himalayan villages through both Marsyangdi valley and Kaligandaki valley. This trek will give you opportunity to see many different kinds of climatic zone, few indigenous group people their culture, language, custom, tradition, some highest mountain in the world, ancient caves, frozen lakes, alpine valley, centuries-old monasteries.
This Annapurna circuit trek 10 days will offer you unforgettable lifetime memory of rejoicing your moment in the highland of Himalaya. This trip will start from Kathmandu to Besisahar by the drive and you will stay in Besisahar for overnight. And the next day you will have another drive to Chame (2600m/8528 ft). It is headquartered in the Manang district and it’s the least populated district of Nepal. As you step on Chame you can see Annapurna II(7937m/26033ft) just above your forehead on the right side of the valley. And the best part of this trek is the changing of scenery every day, every hour, every moment. You will see many villages during the trek like Chame, Pisang, Manang and they are very beautiful with its uniqueness of Annapurna valley.
In Manang district the people you going to see is Manangis. And they are one of the indigenous group in Nepal with their own way of living, culture, tradition, custom. In the higher valley, you will see mud thatched roof houses. In fact, the thatched mud is a good insulator when there is heavy snowfall in the winter. While in spring it prevents the house from snow as well.
After crossing the pass Thorong-La ( 5416 m /17765 ft) you will reach the Muktinath the holy place for both Hindus & Buddhist where you can see nuns running the monastery inside Muktinath temple. The scenery totally changes after Thorong-La Pass. It is drier and rain shadow area of Mt Dhaulagiri and Annapurna that’s the reason this place gets the least amount of rain annually. As you reach Kaligandaki valley you will get warm hospitality of Thakali people, they are another indigenous group of Nepal. They have own lifestyle, culture, custom, and tradition. As a result, Annapurna circuit two valleys Marshyangdi and Kaligandaki culturally and naturally rich which is organized by Himalayan Smile Treks.
Drive 175km Kathmandu to Beshisahar around 7 hours and it goes through Trishuli and Marsyangdhi valley. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery during the drive. The bus will stop on the way for launch and few more breaks for some refreshment and for toilet.
This four wheel drive will follow Marsyangdhi valley and it passes through many mountain village and beautiful scenery . It will go through unpaved road so you have to prepare yourself for possible bumpy road.
Your walk will start from today. The trail will traverse through left side of the valley and after apple farm village Bartang you will cross the suspension bridge and after a bit uphill you will reach another beautiful village called Dhikurpokhari. The walk will be very beautiful and nice. You will see Annapurna ii, Annapurna iv and the Pisang peak during the walk.
Today day you have two choices for the trail. One trail goes through high above the valley from the right side and another trail goes through the valley from the left side. You can see many villages, Monastery and Lamasery during the way after Humde the scenery slightly changes. It will become more desert and dry. You will see Annapurna iii, some Chulu peak, Gangapurna, Khangsahar during the walk.
On the acclimatization day we will go to Ice lake 4600m/15088ft Lake for excursion. It will take 5/6hrs back and forth. It’s a very nice walk we can see many mountains during the walk and can see vast detail of higher Marsyangdhi valley.
The trail goes through the dry terrain. With growing altitude it would be difficult to breathe so we will take slow and steady pace to make it to our destination. During the trek you will see Gangapurna, Khangsahar, Chulu west, Chulu central, Chulu east, Glacier dome ,Khangsar kang, Om myurpa, Syagang, Katung kang.
The trail will go through the right side in the beginning until we cross the suspension bridge and the trail goes through the leftside of the valley and reaches the Throung Phedi 4450m/14596ft then goes 1 hrs further straight up to the High camp. This day you will see Throung peak and some more mountains.
Trek start early morning 4/5 AM depending on the season and cross through Throung-La 5416m/17764ft world largest pass. After crossing the pass we will descend down. We can see the Dhaulagiri Massif right straight in the west from the pass. The walk will be down until we reach the place called Kagbeni. The walk will be more nice with changing scenery and the beautiful medieval village like Jharkot,Kagbeni. After Kagbeni the walk will be through the valley and now you have entered the windy valley so you have to prepare yourself for possible hard breezing. You can see Nilgiri north, Tukuchey peak, Dhaulagiri massif during the day.
The early morning 25-minute flight will take you to Pokhara and the aircraft goes through Kaligandaki valley and reaches Pokhara. On a clear day, the flight would be very scenic. During the flight, you will see many high mountains. Onward your Journey.
What are the differences between Silver and Gold?
The difference between these two prices is only two services. In Gold price, during trekking, we provide you with accommodation in a tea house and all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). But in Silver price, the trekkers should pay by themselves the expenses of their meals and accommodation in tea house while you're on trekking days. But other services which are included in the Gold price are also included in the Silver price.
Accommodation during trekking :
In the Annapurna region, we offer you accommodation in a tea house (mountain lodge). A Tea House is the combination of a guest house, restaurant, and social hang out. The rooms are spare with twin beds and very little additional furniture. Blankets are generally provided. Most bathrooms are shared and toilets can be either a squat type of the western version. Most of the Tea Houses have running water facility. Many of them also avail hot water for shower. But you will by charge by hotel owner using a hot water shower.
Meals during trekking :
In Tea House trekking you will usually have breakfast and dinner in the lodge; lunch will between at one of the trail side restaurants. Every Tea House serves the traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), as well as a variety of different food items, such as rice, vegetables, noodles, potatoes, and soup. Some have western food such as pizza, pasta, and French fries. Soft drinks, snacks, and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses and trail side restaurants.

We offer you an experienced trekking guide. He is in charge of your overall trekking. This is the person you should go to with all the problems, concerns and questions. He is well trained in all aspects of trekking, high altitude medicine, first aid, and emergency procedure. He is selected in terms of his professionalism. Remember that trekking guides are local citizens and their English may be basic and limited to trek related topics. About porters, they carry your luggage. They are also local citizens. Normally one porter carries 20 to 25 kg of stuff. Normally we provide one porter for two trekkers.
