Karbakeli Eco trek

Karbakeli Eco trek is one of the newly explored Annapurna trekking trails which connects Poonhill with the headquarter of Myagdhi district via Karbakeli region. This journey will introduce you Karbakeli Thaan temple dedicated to Karbakeli baba (god of Pun Magar community) in Ramche. Karbakeli route is one of the most virgin routes which was not explored before even its very close to Poonhill. And the most convenient way for exploring Magar culture, custom, tradition, and way of life. You can see the panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Gurja during the journey and the walk through the largest rhododendron forest is a lifetime experience.

This journey starts at Birethanti which is the starting point for a bunch of trekking destination in Annapurna region. Then the trail follows the Poonhill route all the way up to Ghorepani which is really beautiful which passes through the flossing stream and lush green forest. The terrain can be hot until 2000m elevation after that it gets pleasant. Above 2500m we pass through a lush rhododendron forest which looks like heaven during its blooming period in Spring. After visiting the Poonhill the journey heads towards Karbakeli which roughly takes about 5hrs which is a scenic walk. The temple of Karbakeli is located at Kafaldanda at the elevation of 2200M above sea level. There is a statue of God Karbakeli baba and his two wives Himala and Fimala as well as two sons Ramchan and Kulchun.

Karbakeli eco trek is a precious journey which came as a golden opportunity to show the virgin route of Karbakeli region as well as Ghorepani poon hill region.
