Patle village in Khalte VDC, is emerging as an attractive tourist destination, thanks to initiatives of locals. Located about nine KM from district headquarters Dhadingbesi, the village is eastern Dhading has 85 households. After the lunch of project, the villages develop Patle as model village around 2000 domestic and foreign tourist have visited the village according to Patle tourism promotion committee chairperson Sher Bahadur Gurung. “The village offers tourist- friendly infrastructure and a home-stay package. All this is meant to draw tourist,” said Gurung. Sites like Bat cave and Lamaguru are also attracting tourists. Besides, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of snow-capped mountains like Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna and other surrounding mountains. Mr. Gurung informed that they have imposed a ban on the use of polyethylene bags in the village. The locals have also declared Patle a pesticide and chemical fertilizer- free.
