Short Annapurna trek commence scenic drive to Syauli bazaar from Pokhara city. The trail ascends through the terraced hillsides and cultivated field to the Ghandruk village (1940m). The village one of the larger Gurung settlements with modern structures. Here you can visit Gurung traditional Museums and the ACAP area office, which has a regular video show about the conservation and ecological matters. The Short Annapurna trek another highlights is Chomrong village(2170m) where close-up view of Annapurna south and Machhapuchhre mountain. The village is the last permanently inhabited village on the route to the sanctuary.

Short Annapurna trek Itinerary

Morning  drive one and half hour to Nayapul (1070m) by private vehicle. From Nayapul your trekking starts. On this day you trek towards Syauli Bazaar (1210m). 2h walking.

From syauli bazaar trail ascends between the beautiful agriculture terrace fields. You see stunning view of Machhapurchhre Himal (6696m). Then you arrive to Ghandrung village. This village is well managed on the concept of eco-tourism. In, the same village the project of eco-tourism is implemented at the time in Nepal. There you can also visit Gurung Museum. The Ghandruk village is also the head quarter of Annapurna conservation area project. You can observe slide show about the activities of ACAP. 4h walking. O/n at mountain Lodge.

 

From Ghandruk Village scenic 45 m walk to the next village is Khomrong Danda. After tea and coffee the trail decent to the Kimrong Khola. After crossing  suspension bridge over the Khola  the trail pass through the tiny small Gurung village. From here the trail ascent 600m  through the forest to the Chomrong(2180m). From village can see close-up view of Annapurna South (7219m), Himchuli (6644m) and Machhapurchhre Himal (6996m).6h walking. O/n at mountain Lodge.

From Chimrong village the trail descend to the Jhinu Danda. In Jhinudand you can take side trial from here you can visit the hot springs if time is permit. The trail contour to the New bridge. The trail cross the long suspension bridge over Modi Khola up to the cultivated filed to the Landrung village.

After lunch towards to the Tolka, another beautiful village of Annapurna region. Then you climb steps through the forest until Deurali. Deurali gives you nice views of Pokhara valley in the south and the Annapurna range in the north. Then you will descend to Pothana (1950m), another beautiful place to spent overnight. 8h walking. O/n at mountain Lodge.

From Pothana very pleasant walking with spectacular mountain view of the Annapurna south and Machapurchhere himal to the Dhampus village.

Finally you finish your trekking after descending to Phedi. From Phedi you take half an hour drive to Pokhara. 2 and half hour walking. Trek end. Drive to Pokhara.
