Tamang heritage trail trekking is the recently opened trekking route in Langtang region. This trail was developed by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program under the United Nations Development Project (UNDP). It offers a glance at the typical lifestyle and culture of mountain people called Tamang. The trail passes through traditional Tamang villages (Goljung, Gatlang, Nagthal, Briddim) where life, culture, and crafts have remained unchanged since the beginning of the settlement. Warm traditional welcome hosted by the locals, their elaborate consumers, rich architecture of their mountain houses and the ancient monasteries and places of prayer add color to the experience.
