Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, transfer to the Hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, visit Himalayan Smileoffice (Saatghumti, Thamel) for the orientation program. After payment, meet your trekking guide who will assist you to for the preparation. Stroll around the Thamel and overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today you have a city tour at Kathmandu valley. You will visit the ancient city Bhaktapur, the holiest Hindu temple Pashupatinath and the largest stupa in the world Boudhanath. These destinations are the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and highly visited by locals and tourists. After the city tour, drive back to your hotel.
Early morning, drive to Arughat (550m) which is 127km west of Kathmandu. It takes 5 hrs long drive to reach Arughat so you will take lunch on the way. Arughat is a trading crossroad for centuries and you can stroll around the Arughat bazaar, since you don’t have trek today. There are many good lodges to overnight your stay.
Today is the beginning of your trek as you reach Soti Khola via two-hours of a scenic drive. Soti Khola is blessed with crystal clear waters and natural pools. Take your lunch in Soti Khola and trek to Machha Khola. Machha Khola means ‘fish river’ which clearly makes sense. Also, there are good lodges available for your overnight stay.
Today you will enter the Manaslu Conservation Area while trekking to Jagat (1378m) following the river towards the north. You may find a glimpse of bird and animal life along the banks. Facilitated by the Gurung ethnic group, Jagat has a very old settlement, clean streets and mani wall of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Overnight at Jagat.
Start your trek from Jagat. Cross the swinging suspension bridge which is the longest one over the Budhi Gandaki. After 3hrs of walking, take your lunch at Phillim and continue the trek to Deng. Most of the trekkers also stay at Phillim for Tsum valley. After 4hrs you will reach Deng and overnight at the mountain lodge.
Today you will get a little bit harder as the trail continuously climbs and dives until Bihi Phedi. Have lunch and some rest at Bihi Phedi and trek to Namrung. Namrung has small shops, new lodges, camping areas, and security checkpoint. From this village, the people are mostly of Tibetan origin. O/N at Namrung village.
While trekking from Namrung, you will observe a Ganesh Himal view and some Tibetan monasteries on the trail. It takes you only 4 hours to reach Lho, so you can visit monastery (optional). Have your lunch at Lihi, explore this beautiful village of houses roofed with pine shingles. Then you trek and stay today’s destination at Lho.
Today you will trek to Samagaon (3550m) and excursion to Manaslu Base Camp. Trek 2 hours to Shyala which is a good stopover to view Ngadi Chuli (7,871m) and take your lunch here. Reach Samagaon, take some rest and hike to the MBC. After an hour, return back to Samagaon and overnight at mountain lodge.
The trail from Samagaon to Samdo is relatively flat land that takes you only 4 hours of walking. On the way, there’s a hidden Birendra Tal which is a glacial lake. The route soon crosses a wooden bridge where the trail is marked by mani walls. Reach the Samdo village where can view the eastern cliffs of Samdo Peak (6335m).
Today you will ascend the maximum altitude at Larkya La Pass (5,106m) so make sure you are well prepared. Wake up as early as possible, as you have to walk nearly 14 hours or more. Carry your packed meal since there are no teahouses until you reach Bimthang (3,700m). Bimthang has excellent new lodges for your long-day walk to overnight.
Cross the bridge of Dudh Khola river emerged from the three glaciers. Take your Lunch at Kharche where couples of good teahouses are available. Continue the trek towards the Tilje. This village has a very mixed ethnic groups of Gurung, Ghale, Chhetri and Tibetan people. Overnight at mountain lodge in Tilje.
The trail goes down to Dharapani where the Annapurna circuit trail is joined. But you will trek other routes to the village called Tal located on the sandy banks of the Marsyangdi River. This village is the last Buddhist place on the trek indicating prayer flags, mani wall and chortens. Dinner and O/N at mountain lodge in Tal.
From today you don’t have to trek but a long drive to Kathmandu by public bus. Enjoy the 8 hours of scenic drive passing through Annapurna and Manaslu circuit in the west and east respectively. Take a lunch and some rest in Besisahar. Continue drive to Kathmandu and check-in to your hotel. Stroll around Thamel for good restaurants.
Today is your last day in Nepal. Our officer will come to meet you and leave the hotel 3 hours early prior to your flight time. We will then escort you to the Kathmandu International Airport by private vehicle. With the good fortune and safe journey, we farewell you to the airport for your final departure.
