1. Rock climbing

Rock climbing is an adventurous activity where one has to climb up, down or across the natural rock formation. The climber has to maintain strength, agility, balance, and endurance in order to perform an effective task. In modern days, artificial rock walls are also available in the urban areas (indoor and outdoor climbing). These are designed for the beginners and also it is time-consuming as you won’t have to drive along the valley. But, nothing is better than natural treasures.

So, before you start this physically and mentally demanding sports, follow up the guidelines by professionals. Each climber has to wear a safety helmet, belay gloves, and climbing shoes. Equip the climbing gears like rope, cord, webbing, carabiners, harnesses, quickdraws, belay & rappel devices, ascenders, sling, etc. Perfect! Now, get ready to rock the climb.

There are some few places where  rock climbing is popular such as:

Nagarjun Rock Climbing;

Nagarjun rock climbing lies in the Shivapuri national park, 3 km away from the tourist hub Thamel. The main entrance of the gate is Phulbari, before you enter the forest, every visitor has to pay entrance fees. Walk 10 minutes to reach the rock climbing zone; it is one of the best rock climbing places to start for beginners or experienced climbers.
The climbing consists of about 22 routes ranging from 4a to 7b+ grades. The rock is around 50 to 80 feet high. Especially the climbers who want to train or practice himself-there are much multi-pitch 65m and single pitch 12m. Besides rock climbing, you can do hike up to the summit of Jama – Cho, Cycling, bird watching, visit the spiritual cave of saint Nagarjuna.

Hattian Rock climbing.

Hattiban is located in the southern part of Nepal – approximately 26 km away on the way to the famous Hindu pilgrimage site “ Dakchinkali Temple”. Hattiban rock climbing center is a highly skilled and professional climbing site in Nepal so that it is physically challenging and adrenaline activity for the adventure seekers. The climbing grade ranges from 6a to 7a, and the best season is autumn and spring.

Bimal Nagar Rock Climbing

Bimal Nagar rock climbing spot is located southwest of Nepal – approximately 140 km away from Kathmandu. If you are coming from Pokhara it is closer than Kathmandu which is just 60 km. Bimal Nagar Rock offers climbing in the few fixed routes up to 55 meters in the natural rock. Bimal Nagar Rock climbing is one of the hot climbing centers in Nepal.
Bimal Nagar is one of the hot climbing in the spot in Nepal. Not only the locals, but foreigners also love this spot for climbing. Once you reach on the top, enjoy the sanctuary of Mt. Manaslu and Mardhyandi river flowing in the Terai region.

2. Paragliding

3. Bungee Jumping

One is Nepal’s first bungy jumping site is located close to the Nepal-Tibet border – approximately 160m away, a three-hour drive by bus from Kathmandu. The jump, It was designed by New Zealand’s leading bungy consultants, and is operated by highly trained professionals, they take safety first very seriously. This thrilling fall is 500ft (160m) down into the Bhoti Kosi River Gorge, it is one of the longest free-fall in the world. Second Bungee Jump is operated in Pokhara which is made from the 80m high tower where people dive 20m down into the pond.
