1. Rock climbing

Rock climbing is an adventurous activity where one has to climb up, down, or across the natural rock formations. The climber has to maintain strength, agility, balance, and endurance in order to perform an effective task. In modern days, artificial rock walls are also available in urban areas (indoor and outdoor climbing). These are designed for beginners, and it is also time-consuming, as you won’t have to drive along the valley. But nothing is better than natural treasures.

So, before you start this physically and mentally demanding sport, follow the guidelines of professionals. Each climber has to wear a safety helmet, belay gloves, and climbing shoes. Equip the climbing gear like rope, cord, webbing, carabiners, harnesses, quickdraws, belay & rappel devices, ascenders, slings, etc. Perfect! Now, get ready to rock the climb.

There are a few places where rock climbing is popular, such as

Nagarjun Rock Climbing

Nagarjun rock climbing lies in the Shivapuri National Park, 3 km away from the tourist hub Thamel. The main entrance of the gate is Phulbari. Before you enter the forest, every visitor has to pay an entrance fee. Walk 10 minutes to reach the rock climbing zone; it is one of the best rock climbing places to start for beginners or experienced climbers.
The climbing consists of about 22 routes ranging from 4a to 7b+ grades. The rock is around 50 to 80 feet high. Especially for climbers who want to train or practice, there are many multi-pitch 65m and single-pitch 12m routes. Besides rock climbing, you can do a hike up to the summit of Jama-Cho, cycle, birdwatch, and visit the spiritual cave of Saint Nagarjuna.

Haitian rock climbing.

Hattiban is located in the southern part of Nepal, approximately 26 km away on the way to the famous Hindu pilgrimage site "Dakchinkali Temple." The climbing grade ranges from 6a to 7a, and the best seasons are autumn and spring.

2. Paragliding
Have you ever wished you had wings so you could fly? Well, you wish, and we’ll make that happen. In other words, college fellas, we’d like to introduce you to paragliding, which is the recreational adventure of flying paragliders. Unbelievable, right? Here’s how: the pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing, whose shape is maintained by the suspension lines. The pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside are making you fly like a bird. Looking back, most likely you won’t regret it. Looking back, most likely you won’t regret it.

This thrilling fall is 500 ft (160 m) down into the Bhoti Kosi River Gorge; it is one of the longest free falls in the world. The Second Bungee Jump is operated in Pokhara, which is made from an 80 m high tower where people dive 20 m down into the pond.
