Trek Overview

Trek Overview

5 Day Trek Nepal is the best-selling short trek organized by Himalayan Smile Treks & Adventure. This journey goes around Gosaikunda Lake in the Langtang region, which is located north of Kathmandu. Gosaikunda Lake is one of the holiest lakes located in the Himalayas, which is associated with the god Shiva. Himalayan scenic drive, exploration of Tamang culture, excellent mountain views, and adventurous trekking are the highlights of this journey. Gosaikunda Lake is one of the holiest sacred lakes in the Himalayas. The myth is related to God Shiva when he swallowed the Kalkut poison, which was obtained from skimming the ocean. And then he felt extreme pain, kept the poison in his neck, and ran towards the Himalayas. As he reached Gosaikunda, he hit the ground with his trident, creating the lakes. There are more than a hundred lakes around this region, which were all believed to be created by the god Shiva.

5-day trek Nepal is the best adventure journey that you can do within a short duration of time, which also offers a great mountain trekking experience. Also, the beautiful scenery and hospitality of the locals are unforgettable. The highest elevation we reach during this trek is 4500 m at Gosaikunda Ri, which is located just over the Gosaikunda Lake (4380 m). This journey starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, which is 100 km and takes about 6 hours. The first night of the journey, we stayed at the hotel in Dhunche, which is the capital of Rasuwa district. Rasuwa district is located inside Langtang National Park, which is famous for several wild animals and plant species.

5-day trek in Nepal, then continue the journey as we start to walk. First of all, we go to the place called Sing Gompa for an overnight stay, which is at an elevation of 3250 m and takes about 5.5 hours through the lush green pine and rhododendron forest. We stay overnight at mountain lodge-like tea houses, which have a clean room and delicious food. The next day, we head to Gosaikunda, walking uphill through the pastureland, which takes about six hours. And then we go for acclimatization and an excursion hike to the hilltop after we reach Gosaikunda. The next day after breakfast, we walk around the lake and head down towards Dhunche, which takes nearly 7.5 hours. On the last day, we finally drove back to Kathmandu, driving 6 hours on a hilly and mountainous highway. This is the short brief of the 5-day journey trek in Nepal.

This journey, the 5-Day Trek Nepal, is a complete trekking package for those who have a short duration of time and want to trek in the Himalayas.
