Trek Overview

Trek Overview

The Pikey Peak Everest cultural trek is one of the best treks in Nepal for witnessing the best viewpoints. According to Sir Edmund Hillary, his favorite Everest view can be seen from Pikey Danda, the viewpoint at an elevation of 4065 m above sea level. Honestly, this is one of the best treks in Nepal to explore the magnificent panorama. During this trek, we will be able to see many mountains from the viewpoint of Pikey Danda and from other places as well. This trek goes through the lower elevation of the Solukhumbu district. We will be able to see several different ethnic groups of people, their cultures, customs, traditions, and way of living.

The Pikey Peak Everest cultural trek offers you the chance to get close to the mountain and people. During this trek, we will see the lifestyle, customs, culture, and traditions of the Magar, Tamang, and Sherpa people. We start our trek at Phaplu (2470M), which is a subalpine climatic zone, so we can see many different kinds of flora and fauna. This trek goes through the classical Everest Base Camp route for a few days.

For trekkers who prefer to walk at lower elevations, like to explore people and culture, and love to see the panoramic mountain view, this trek would be your perfect choice. During this trek, we played so many hide-and-seek games with the mountain from the beginning days to the end. We will pass through many monasteries and lamaseries during the treks. During this trek, we cross the pass called Lamjura-La at an elevation of 3530 m. We traverse through rhododendron, pine, juniper, and fir forests for the most part, whereas the pastureland above 3500 m will be barren without trees.

Pikey Peak Everest cultural trek: The most appreciated factor of this trek is that we can see so many high mountains from one place, which is Pikey Danda. Another good factor about this trek is that it is the least visited trekking route in the Everest region, or we can say an off-track trek. We can see many different architectures and ways of building houses and shelters that can resist both heat and cold. Another important factor that we explored during this trek is the culture, customs, and traditions of several different ethnic groups.
