This 2500 years old stupa situates on a hillock about 77 meters above the level of the valley. Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple as there are numbers of monkeys inside the hill. The entrance to this mysterious stupa has the 365 steps representing the 365 days a year. While another route is from the backside of the Swayambhunath has a parking lot as well. Hundreds of pilgrims visit this stupa each morning and crowds by the festivals.
