The trek starts with a 35-minute thrilling adventure flight to Lukla. It all depends on whether conditions are really clear and settled. Lukla is a small town situated at 2850 m in the Solu-Khumbu district, the eastern part of Nepal, where the inhabitants are of the Sherpa people. After your refreshment in Lukla, your family adventure holiday starts through the beautiful Sherpa village of Chauri Khark.
Family adventure holiday The Mount Everest trek leads to a gradual downhill with a pleasant winding path, with a few short ups and downs. On the first day of trekking, the walk leads through nice farmland and villages from Ghat to Phakding (2610 m). Phakding village has several comfortable teahouses. The family adventure holiday starts with crossing the long suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi. The trail passes through the tiny Sherpa villages of Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsalle to enter the Sagarmatha National Park, listed as a World Heritage Site since 1979. After two hours of the tough climb, you’re in Namche Bazaar (3440 m). The Namche Bazaar is the getaway of the Mount Everest base camp trek, where you can get facilities for internet, laundry, hospitals, banks, post offices, and last-minute shopping for essential trekking equipment.
