Trek Overview

Trek Overview

Easy trekking in Nepal grants you the most accessible journey inside the Kathmandu Valley. Unlike the other trekking, this is the closest destination, which is only 15 km away from the capital city, Kathmandu. Which means you are leaving behind the long hours of a journey in the first place. On the other hand, the trekking is basically for the people of any age group or the beginners. People also start with this easy trekking before attempting moderate/hard treks like Annapurna, Everest, and so on. So if you belong to the one, you are on the right package to start this short and easy trekking in Nepal.

The trek starts from Sundarijal, which lies inside the Shivapuri National Park. Sundarijal, the name of which defines ‘beautiful water/portion,’ has the wonderful waterfall that flows to the Bagmati River. Historically, the Sundarjal was named after the Hindu goddess ‘Sundraimai,’ where you will find the temple dedicated to her. Many locals visit this place the day after rainfall to enjoy the heavy waterfalls. Sundarijal is also the hiking route (via Mulkharka village) to reach Chisapani, where your first overnight will be. Chisapani means cold water in Nepali, and without a doubt, the weather is always cold in this place. From here at 2,140 m, you will be able to see beautiful structures of mountains as well. After a morning view and breakfast, you will continue your easy trekking to Nagarkot.

Nagarkot (2,175 m) is a beautiful village where you will fully enjoy the standard hotels and resorts, certainly. This village is popular for the best sunrise/sunset view as well as the heartwarming panoramic view of the Himalayas. Hence, you can enjoy the sunset, explore the village, and watch the scenery from Nagarkot Tower (2,175 m) for the best result. You can also request the hotel for the campfire on your own. The next early morning the sunrise awaits you, which can also be seen from the hotel balcony or window, or from the top of any place. This day you will trek 5 hours to Dhulikhel and overnight there. You can also explore the age-old town of Dhulikhel, where typical cultural people live.

The next day you will hike up to Dhulikhel hill (1,550 m) via the Devistan entry door. From this route, it leads you to the beautiful stairways to reach the top of the hill. Consequently, most of the locals gather here for a picnic spot as well. Nonetheless, Dhulikhel is the best spot for a panoramic view of the Himalaya, observing more than 20 Himalayan peaks, which include:

  • Mt. Annapurna (8091 m)
  • Mt. Ganesh Himal (7429 m)
  • Mt. Langtang (7234 m)
  • Mt. Phuribichyachu (6637 m)
  • Mt. Gaurishanker (7134 m)
  • Mt. Lhotse (8516 m)
  • And many others.

Lastly, you will spend your refreshing time with alluring mountain views in Dhulikhel Hill. Later, our vehicle will pick you up and drive back 30 km to Kathmandu. Isn’t this a remarkable and easy trek in Nepal you ought to experience?
