Langtang Gosaikunda Melamchi Trekking via Melamchi Bazaar Trekking trail includes Langtang valley Gosai -Kunda Lake & Helambu. All these places situate in the north-east of Kathmandu valley border with Tibet. This is an area inhabited by Tibetans & Tamang who share a similar religion, language and clothing style. The landscapes you cross are extremely varied rice-terraces, gigantic rhododendron and fir forests in the lower part and in the highest parts you get rock and shrub wilderness with the fascinating backdrop of snowy peaks.
Langtang Gosaikunda Melamchi Trekking route passes by the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda (4380m/14366ft), a pilgrimage spot where during the full moon festival of August, hundreds of pilgrims gather here. This trekking starts from the route to Langtang valley, then Gosainkunda Lake. After Gosaikunda lake your trekking continues crossing the Laurebina pass towards the Helambu valley. Helambu valley is the collection of numerous and picturesque Sherpa villages. After Helambu, you move towards Melamchi Bazaar, the final destination of trekking. From there you drive back to Kathmandu.
