Lamjung Himal Sikles trekking is another wonderful trekking route, less known by many trekkers. Lying in the Annapurna Conservation Region, the Lamjung Himal Sikles Trekking starts in Besisahar, passes through the typical Gurung villages of Kapoorgaon, Ghalegaon, and Ghanapokhara, and ends in Vijayapur near Pokhara.
The optimum spot of the Lamjung Himal Sikles Trekking is Dudhapokhari, located on the southwestern slopes of Mount Buddha and Mount Himal Chuli. Dudhapokhari is a sacred lake and an important pilgrimage site for local inhabitants, where the great fair is held on Janai Purnima (a Hindu festival) in August. From Ghale Gaon, a one-day trek to Telbrung Danda. Another day trek to the lake. After visiting this lake, we trek down to Telbrung Danda and proceed to Sikles.
From Sikles, we move to Pokhara. The splendid views from the Lamjung Himal Sikles Trekking are Mt. Manaslu West face, Mt. Lamjung, Peak 29, Mt. Himalchuli, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Mardi, and also the Mount Annapurna range.
Combine the Lamjung Himal Sikles Trek with the renowned Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, and you get this kind of special Himalayan journey in Nepal. Together, these routes bring you that unforgettable sunrise scene from Poon Hill, plus big panoramic sights of Annapurna alongside Lamjung Himal and also a real cultural vibe in traditional Gurung villages, like Sikles. You hike through lovely rhododendron forest areas, terraced farmland patches, and quiet mountain footpaths, all while taking in local hospitality. It fits well for wanderers who want both the most well-known lookouts and some lesser-explored trails because the whole trip mixes natural charm, cultural depth, and those trekking memories you don’t easily forget in the Annapurna region.
Scenic drive, Kathmandu to Besi Sahar & Pokhara to Kathmandu. You will wind through lush valleys, terraced hillsides, and riverside roads where the Himalayan sights feel breathtaking the whole time, not just for a short bit
See close-up views of Manaslu, Lamjung, Peak 29, Himalchuli, Fishtail, Mardi, and the famous Annapurna range; it’s like the mountains are right there, with you
Trek across enormous and enchanting rhododendron forests with vivid red and pink blooms, especially when the spring season arrives, the colors are hard to forget
Feel the real Gurung village life, with traditional buildings and warm hospitality, plus age-old customs that are kept alive in these sweet hillside communities
Walk peaceful trails with fewer trekkers around, so you get a more personal, immersive, calm Himalayan experience in the Annapurna region
Explore this sacred glacial lake sitting at high altitude, respected by locals, and surrounded by mind-blowing Himalayan scenery
Different from many treks in the Himalayas, this route does not ask for a restricted area permit, so it’s easier to plan and usually more affordable as well
