This journey goes around Gosaikunda Lake in Langtang region which is located towards north from Kathmandu. Gosaikunda Lake is one of the holiest lake located in Himalaya which is associated to God Shiva. Himalayan scenic drive, exploration of Tamang culture, excellent mountain view, adventurous trekking are the highlight of this journey. Gosaikunda Lake is one of the holiest sacred lakes from Himalaya. The myth is related to God Shiva when he swallowed the Kalkut poison which was obtained from skimming the ocean. And then he felt extreme pain and kept the poison in the neck and run towards Himalaya. As he reached Gosaikunda, he hits the ground with trident where he created the lakes. There are more than hundred lakes around this region which all were believed to be created by god Shiva.

The highest elevation we reach during this trekking is 4500m at Gosaikunda Ri which is located just over the Gosaikunda Lake (4380m).  This journey starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche which is 100km and takes about 6 hours. The first night of the journey we stay at the hotel in Dhunche which is capital of Rasuwa district. Rasuwa district is located inside Langtang National Park which is famous for several wild animals and plant species.

5 day trek Nepal then continues the journey as we start to walk. First of all, we go to the place called Sing Gompa for an overnight stay which is at the elevation of 3250m and takes about 5.5hrs through the lush green pine and rhododendron forest. We stay overnight at mountain lodge-like tea houses which has a clean room and delicious food. Next day we head to Gosaikunda walking uphill through the pastureland which takes about six hours. And then we go for acclimatization and excursion hike to the hilltop after we reach Gosaikunda. Next day after breakfast we walk around the lake and head down towards Dhunche which take nearly 7.5hrs. The last day we finally drive back to Kathmandu driving 6 hrs on hilly and mountain highway. Detailed Itinerary

Wake up early in the morning. Have a breakfast at the hotel. Drive few minutes to catch up coach for Syabrubeshi with your trekking guide an porter. The coach departs at 7 o’clock. Enjoy seven our scenic drive through Trishuli Valley with villages, river and mountains. The bus stops half an hour nearby highway restaurants on the way for lunch. You will be reached at Dhunche (1765 m) around 2 or 3 o’clock. Check in at mountain lodge at Dhunche. The rest of the day is free. O/n at mountain lodge.

From Dhunche trek is start after a short walk through a forest, the path goes over a hanging bridge (1950m) to other side of the river follows a flat section along the river and after passing a loge standing there, the climb gets very steep the lead in are stone-concrete steps, which later disappear and one walks up on a standard mountain path above app. 2300 metres, the wood changes into bushes and small trees, so there are some views into the valley in a steeper climb one reaches lodge Deurali (2625m), 2-3 hrs. ascent from Dhunche above Deurali the ascent is steep to very steep and goes thru forrest follows section of regular zig-zags in about an hour one reaches military camp at Dhimsa (3000m), photography not allowed here the path remains surrounded by wood and on steep trail one reaches one small lodge (3070m), nice viewpointhe last section is less steep, leaves the forrest and traverses up to Singh Gompa, the first day objective After one hour walking you will be a Sing Gompa (Chandanbari) at 3330m. From Sing Gompa the trail gradually climb to the ridge through the rhododendron forest with dry scrub vegetation on the slopes. After one hour pleasant walking you will be a Chalang Pati at 3650m. You will enjoy the view of Ganesh Himal and Langtang mountains. Also you may like to have tea and coffee with sun bath. From here you will enter the Gosaikunda Protected area where killing the animals and cut the trees. After one and half hour steep climb you will be in Laurebina Yak at 3920m. From here you can observe sun set and sun rise in mountains. You can see spectacular mountains view including Annapurna , Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung and Tibetan Mountains. For your kind information today is acclimatization day for tomorrow more 500m climb. After Lunch, the trail lead ascend ride or the Lauribina Yak and superb view of the mountains. The trail is icy often end of the November and December before sunrise in mountains. We will request you attention in your feet. After one and half hour walking you will reach small temple which is statue of the Sakyamuni(Lord Buddha) welcome to the Gosaikunda. The trail leads up and down half and hours then you will see first lake Saraswati Kunda below the trail. Here you will fell little high altitude in our body continuous walking alpine land you will see second lake Bhairav Kunda. The trail continues slightly climb to the Gosaikunda Lake tea houses at 4460m. Enjoy the view of Holy lake Gosaikunda. O/n at mountain Lodge

Return to the Sing Gompa same trail. The trail continues down to the stream which flows from Gosaikunda Lake. From here pleasant walk through the few houses government agriculture station and army post. Your trek is end at Dhunche(1950m). O/n at Mountain Lodge.

After breakfast catches a coach to set for Kathmandu. After reach in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel. Have a rest.
