Trek Overview

Mt Manaslu Expedition is one of the most adventurous Nepal expeditions that can be done in the Himalayas. Mt Manaslu is one of eight highest mountains in the world with its towering height of 8156m. Since the first successful expedition was done in 6th may 1956 it became famous among mountaineer around the world. This mountain would be the best option for those who like to explore mountain over eight thousand meters under very suitable price comparing to other expedition. This beautiful mountain is located in the heart of Manaslu region in the Himalaya between Annapurna and Ganesh Himal region. This seven week-long journey offers several highlights thus it’s full of miscellaneous experience. Our good train staffs do their best to make this journey reliable and well organized. The best month for this expedition is from September to November.

The journey starts from Kathmandu driving to Soti Khola 700m through the beautiful Himalayan terrain and we spend overnight at mountain lodge then journey goes forward trekking the Budhigandaki valley. The trekking goes forward following the river Budigandaki crossing bunch of suspension and a wooden bridge. The scenery gets totally change when we reach the place called Deng 1860m. As we get there we can see Lapuchung and Shringi Himal just in front of us. Trek goes on passing through lush green forest consists of rhododendron, pine, fir, and Juniper. We pass through several beautiful villages like Namrung, Shogaun, Lhogaun and Shamagaun 3520m. After the preparation, we head to Manaslu base camp where we set the tent and prepare for the expedition. The expedition leads to camp I 5808m/19050ft crossing the crevasse with a big chunk of ice. After the required preparation we head to camp II 6408m/21018 ft passing through huge icy slab and crevasse. Then we go camping III 6800m passing through the icy slope which is at the bottom of a vertical wall. We then climb vertically up towards the ridge which stretched from western pinnacle where there is our camp IV 7450m/24436ft. Then we go to conquer the summit pass through the neck of the western pinnacle. After reaching the summit we come back down to camp IV and next day back to Samagaun.
