On arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport, our Himalayan Smiles Treks & Adventure guide and staff will receive with warm welcome and garlands and then a short drive into hustle, bustle city life of Kathmandu city where the hotels are located around Thamel area, an interesting place to be, on reaching respective hotels check in and after some refreshment, our guide will brief with orientation programs regarding the activities while in Nepal with us from sightseeing tours and other necessary details with afternoon tour of Swayambhunath Stupa, which is a short distance drive west of the city located on a hill lock, a fascinating old monument, the Land Mark of Kathmandu valley where the history tells that this ancient place stood for more than 2,500 years before Kathmandu valley was a huge lake. Although a Buddhist monument where all religions can visit and worships in the Buddhist temples and monastery the views from this place is equally enjoyable and exciting as you can view Kathmandu city with snow capped peaks towards north on a clear fine day. After an interesting visit drive back to the hotel with peaceful and exciting evening and dinner in a popular and best restaurant that Kathmandu has to offer to make your stay exciting and enjoyable.
As per the time informed by our guide and staff, early morning with refreshing tea / coffee o pack breakfast depart towards Kathmandu domestic airport for the scenic and sweeping one hour mountain flight, all seats with window facing the mountains, where both side of the passengers can witness the grand mountain vista, from the take off to touch down views of magnificent Himalayan chain of mountains from Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang to Jugal Himal which extends towards Gaurishanker, Melung Tse, Cho-Oyu and Mt. Everest at close distance view of Mt. Makalu can be seen also. After a breath-taking experience on one hour mountain flight, heading back to hotel for breakfast and refreshment, our tour program continues with a short drive towards east of the city for a tour in one of the most important and major holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath adorned with silver doors and golden roofed pagoda located by the river Bagmati, where the Hindu pilgrims and devotee takes bath before praying and worshipping the idol of Lord Shiva, although Non Hindu are not allowed the main premises however one can have an excellent views of the temple and activities from the opposite bank of the river where funeral rites takes places. After an interesting time here a short ride towards north east at Bouddhanath great white painted Stupa, probably the largest of its kind in the world of more than 500 old history, this area is also called as Little Tibet due to many Tibetans migrants and people of Tibetan Buddhist origin, the place is surrounded with prayer wheels with four great mystical eyes of Buddha watches the people and surrounding, which lively with markets and monasteries the dome shaped painted with lotus flower image, which can be clearly seen from a distance with yellow or saffron color on white lime paints. After a nice time here an hour or less drive towards east of the Kathmandu valley to reach at Bhaktapur an old medieval period looking city, it is also known by the old name as Bhadgaon meaning city of devotes, an interesting place where you will be turned back in time of Malla regime. Bhaktapur, third largest city around Kathmandu valley, this city was once a capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom from the 12th to 15th century. The main Bhaktapur of 4 square miles located at an altitude of 1,401 m high, with immense old culture, traditional art and architecture, pottery and weaving industries, rich local customs of every-day life. Nepal’s old Malla dynasty’s achievement in arts and crafts is reflected at Bhaktapur city. Bhaktapur is also known by woodcarving artists, for its cap known as Bhadgaon Topi, and for its curd. Bhaktapur although an old looking city slowly emerging into modernization but it still retains past glory with old temples, royal courtyard and bazaar itself steeped with old history and monuments with many heritage sites to visit in this old part of the city of Bhaktapur. Morning after breakfast a nice pleasant drive of 2-3 hours on the main Nepal / Tibet, China Friendship Highway the drive leads through interesting farm villages and towns of Banepa, Dhulikhel and to Barabise following the raging glacial river Bhote Kosi all the way to a small place called The Last Resort, a short walk leads to the Resort premises, where all bungy jumping people have gathered for the day Bungy jumping adventure, this place is active with other sports such as cannoning, Rafting, swing and relax in a peaceful surrounding. Here the main man and instructor will brief with safety measures and other useful information regarding the Bungy Jumping, and then walk to the middle of the suspension bridge over the deep gorge formed by the River Bhote Kosi fed from the glacier of Shisapangma, Jugal Himal and Dorji Lakpa mountains which straddles the border with Nepal and Tibet and some within Tibet. After careful preparation as per the instruction “Jump” for 160 meters down towards the river, where you will be taken care by the staff untying the ropes and reaching back to safe place after an experience of a life time. After lunch head back to Kathmandu with full of excitement and enjoyable day and with last farewell dinner followed by typical meals and cultural folk dances
