Dhampus day hiking from Pokhara is a short and sweet hike that provides you with total refreshment and enjoyment in nature. This is a short hiking trail around the Annapurna region, specially designed for those nature-loving people who don’t have trekking experience and want to gain experience of hiking and have a very short holiday in Nepal.
After having breakfast in Pokhara hotel, your Dhampus Day Hiking will start from Phedi, which is a half-hour driving distance (18 km) from Pokhara City. Observing the natural beauty of Nepal, you will enjoy an ascent walk for 3 hours through different forests, farmlands, and villages. During your entire hike, you will enjoy the interaction with different people of that village; you will get to know the different cultures and ethnic groups, and can experience the taste of natural and real hospitality of local Nepalese society and get a chance to observe the daily lifestyle of villagers.
Dhampus is a hill from where you can have a very beautiful view of natural beauties. You will get an opportunity to see the close, face-to-face, breathtaking view of a long range of Annapurna and other mountains. Besides these, Dhampus is a village where there is a majority of the Gurung community lives, and a Gurung village exists. Dhampus is full of natural attractions and rich in Gurung culture, which really melts the heart of any traveler. After being there in Dhampus, you will have lunch and have some free time to do an excursion of Dhampus Village. After the completion of the excursion, you will be returned to Kande with a descent walk of 3 hours, which will complete your hiking program of the day. After getting there in Kande, you will be returned to Pokhara City, the most beautiful city of Nepal.
