The Himalayan Smile Treks and Adventures organized Nepal trekking and mountaineering by following the guidelines for foreign tourists while conducting activities in Nepal. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has issued guidelines for foreign tourists that the tourists must secure an entry visa or an entry permit in the absence of visa provisions in their countries in coordination with the respective agencies.

Tourists visiting Nepal will no longer have to stay in mandatory hotel quarantine for five days as long as they have a negative PCR report before they board their flight, and again test negative on their arrival in Kathmandu. They will have to stay in a hotel, observing safety protocols, until the test results arrive.

Likewise, the travelers must carry with them a PCR test report conducted not more than 72 hours ago, attesting that the person has tested negative for COVID-19. Along with the report, the traveler must have booking documents for the hotel where they will stay for a few days.

Furthermore, the person must provide papers proving they have COVID-19 insurance.

In addition to the above-mentioned conditions, the traveler must also undergo a PCR test at their own expense. Tourists have to stay in a hotel, observing safety protocols until the test results arrive. They may proceed with the purported activity only after testing negative for the disease. If the test results are positive, the person must stay in a hotel quarantine for as long as they do not test negative.

After Arriving in Nepal (For the Local Travel Agency)

All incoming tourists must take a mandatory COVID-19 test upon arrival in Nepal at their own cost in coordination with the respective local agency.

The tourist can continue with their itinerary if the report is negative. In case the report is positive, the tourist must continue to stay in hotel quarantine until the report reads negative.

The concerned agency must do the COVID-19 insurance of Rs. One Lakh for their staff accompanying the tourist group.

Travel enthusiasts must also abide by all the protocols laid out by the Ministry of Health of Nepal.
