Dhampus trek is the beautiful hilltop located in the Kaski district which is day hiking from Pokhara valley.  From Pokhara city, 45 minutes driving can easily access from the touristic hub, Lakeside. The trekking starting point of the Dhampus is Phedi, which is the lower and farmed land village. From Phedi, we gradually hike up through the beautiful villages and forest for three hours. Dhampus is a popular vantage point in the Annapurna region to be close to Himalaya’s views, local culture as well as sunrise and sunset. Alternative Dhampus trek 1

Day hike in Dhampus (1,682m) This trek allows hiking to Dhampus as a day hike. The hike starts and ends at the same point at Phedi Village. Ascend 3 hours to get Dhampus and return for one and a half hours.

Alternative Dhampus trek 2:

Dhampus to Sarankot (1600m) trek – 3 days trek Staying overnight at Sarankot is another opportunity to capture a view amazing of the Himalayas and the landscape of Pokhara city. Enjoy the panoramic view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu. If you love adventure, don’t miss paragliding. Day 1: Drive to Phedi and trek to Dhampus (1,750m.) We drive Phedi by tour private vehicles for 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Ascend 3 to 4 hours trek to reach Dhampus. Overnight at Dhampus village. Day 2: Trek to Sarankot(1600m) After breakfast, we head off to Sarankot hill station, walking throughout the beautiful hamlet of the paddy field. Sarankot offers superb sunrise and sunset view in between the snow-capped Himalayas. Day 3: Trek to Pokhara (827m) – lakeside Easy downhill treks move towards the beautiful lakeside. It is just a 2-3 hours walk. At your leisure, you have many options to do. Such as boating, visiting Mahindra cave, Devi’s fall or you can relax in your hotel.

Alternative Dhampus trek 3:

Dhampus to Australian Camp trek (2055m) – 3 days Day 1: We drive to Phedi to start our trek. Approximately 3 hours trek. Stay overnight at Dhampus. Day 2: We begin our trek with the mesmerizing panoramic views of the Himalayas. Walk gently through the rhododendron and oak forest until Pothana. Having lunch after, we follow the trail climbing stone-paved way until Australian Camp. There is a large green ground for camping; trekkers can entertain by playing football, volleyball, and badminton with the trekking crews or with their family members. Day 3: After breakfast, we do a short trek to Kande. It is about a 2-hour walk. From Kande, Our private car will pick you up at the Hotel -Lakeside.
