1. Contest Overview

This promotion offers participants the chance to win a complimentary Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek by joining our group booking program. For every 10 confirmed bookings, 1 lucky winner will be selected to receive a free trek worth approximately Rs 67,000 (USD $1,200-$1,500).

By entering and participating in this giveaway, you agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined below.


2. Eligibility

To participate in this contest, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Follow Himalayan Smile Treks on both Instagram and YouTube
  • Book and confirm your Everest Base Camp trek with full payment (each confirmed booking = one entry)
  • Be physically fit and capable of completing the Everest Base Camp trek
  • Have a valid passport and necessary travel documents
  • Meet all health and fitness requirements for high-altitude trekking

Not Eligible:

3. How to Enter

4. Winner Selection & Announcement

Selection Process:

  • For every 10 confirmed bookings, one (1) winner will be selected through a random draw/lottery
  • The draw will be conducted fairly and transparently
  • Winners will be announced 1 months before trek departure (approximately September 25, 2026)

Winner Announcement:

  • Date: September 26, 2026 (for first draw) and subsequently 1 months before each trek departure

Response Requirement:

6. What the Winner MUST Pay (NOT Included in Prize)

The winner is responsible for the following costs:

Content Usage Rights:

  • By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, photograph, and content for promotional purposes

8. Travel Dates & Booking

Trek Dates:

  • Primary Trek Start Date: October 25, 2026
  • Winner must redeem their free EBC trek between August and September 2026 (or as specified)
  • Trek dates are subject to availability

Date Selection:

  • Himalayan Smile Treks will offer the winner 3 batch dates to choose from
  • Winner must choose based on their availability
  • The winner must trek on the selected departure date
  • If the winner cannot participate on the chosen date, the prize will be forfeited

Booking Timeline:

  • Winner must respond within 48 hours of announcement
  • Provide all required documentation within 7-14 days
  • Kathmandu-Lukla flights should be booked at least 30-60 days in advance
  • Kathmandu hotels should be booked at least 30 days in advance

9. Health, Fitness & Safety Requirements

Health Standards:

The winner must:

  • Meet required health and fitness standards for high-altitude trekking
  • Complete a medical questionnaire
  • Provide medical clearance if requested by Himalayan Smile Treks
  • Have valid travel insurance covering trekking up to 5,500 meters
  • Be in good physical health with no serious medical conditions

Himalayan Smile Treks' Rights:

  • Himalayan Smile Treks reserves the right to disqualify any participant deemed medically unfit for the trek
  • A medical check-up or clearance may be required before departure
  • All participants must follow the safety guidelines provided by trek leaders

Winner Responsibilities:

  • Disclose any medical conditions or medications
  • Maintain adequate physical fitness before the trek
  • Follow all instructions from guides and trek leaders
  • Respect local culture and environmental regulations

10. Prize Conditions

  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other services
  • The prize cannot be sold or given to another person
  • The winner must personally participate in the trek; no substitutions allowed
  • No refund will be provided for any unused portions of the prize
  • The prize cannot be combined with other offers or discounts
  • Prize must be redeemed within the specified timeframe or it will be forfeited

11. Disqualification

Himalayan Smile Treks reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner if they:

  • Fail to respond within 48 hours of the winner announcement
  • Fail to meet participation requirements
  • Violate any of the terms and conditions
  • Do not meet health and fitness standards
  • Fail to fulfill content/social media obligations
  • Cannot arrange or pay for mandatory expenses (flights, insurance)
  • Provide false information during registration
  • Engage in fraudulent or inappropriate behavior

In case of disqualification, a new winner will be selected.


12. Liability & Risk

Himalayan Smile Treks is NOT Responsible For:

  • Injuries, illness, or accidents during the trek
  • Lost or damaged personal belongings
  • Flight delays or cancellations (domestic or international)
  • Altitude sickness or medical emergencies
  • Changes due to weather, political situations, or force majeure
  • Hotel booking issues or accommodation problems
  • Costs incurred due to trip extensions from flight delays

Participant Acknowledgment:

  • All participants trek at their own risk
  • Winner assumes full responsibility for their safety and wellbeing
  • Winner must have appropriate travel insurance covering all risks

13. Cancellation & Modifications

By Winner:

  • If the winner cancels after accepting the prize, the prize will be forfeited with no refund
  • No compensation will be provided for any expenses already incurred

By Himalayan Smile Treks:

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the trek due to:
    • Weather conditions
    • Natural disasters
    • Political unrest or government restrictions
    • Pandemics or health emergencies
    • Force majeure circumstances
  • In case of company cancellation, the winner will be offered an alternative date or appropriate resolution

Contest Modifications:

  • Himalayan Smile Treks reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this promotion at any time without prior notice

14. Force Majeure

Himalayan Smile Treks is not liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Pandemics or health emergencies
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Flight cancellations by airlines

  • Participants' contact details will not be shared with third parties without consent

16. Financial Responsibility Acknowledgment

By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges and agrees that:

Everest Base Camp Trek - Detailed Day by Day Itinerary : Trek Start Date: October 25, 2026


Day 1: October 25, 2026 - Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Altitude: 1,400m | Distance: N/A | Walking Hours: N/A

Welcome to Nepal! After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel, where you can rest and recover from your travel. After you have freshened up, you can wander around Kathmandu's bustling streets filled with shops and restaurants. In the evening, we will meet for a pre-trek briefing, where we will talk about your trekking gear and more about what lies ahead.


Day 2: October 26, 2026 - Fly to Lukla (2,860m) – Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Altitude: 2,860m to 2,610m | Distance: 8 km | Walking Hours: 3-4 hours

Take an early morning scenic flight to Lukla, home to one of the world's most exciting mountain airports and stunning views of the Himalayas. Meet your trekking crew and begin your trek through lovely pine forests along the Dudh Koshi River. Cross several suspension bridges and small Sherpa villages as you gently descend to Phakding for your first night in the mountains.


Day 3: October 27, 2026 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Altitude: 2,610m to 3,440m | Distance: 11 km | Walking Hours: 6-7 hours

Hike beside the glacial river while crossing various suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags. Pass through the checkpoint of Sagarmatha National Park and continue through the pine forests. After crossing over the Hillary Bridge the trail goes steeply uphill for your first view of Mount Everest. Reach Namche Bazaar, the busy capital of the Sherpa, with great mountain peaks and colorful traditional houses.


Day 4: October 28, 2026 - Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Altitude: 3,440m (hike to 3,880m) | Distance: 4 km | Walking Hours: 3-4 hours

Crucial rest day for proper altitude acclimatization to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. The acclimatization hike is to Everest View Hotel for fantastic, panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, along with the surrounding peaks. You may also explore the colorful Saturday market if it is happening today, check out the Sherpa Culture Museum, browse the local shops, and even just wander and soak in the real-life mountain town experience as you prepare to move higher tomorrow.


Day 5: October 29, 2026 - Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m)

Altitude: 3,440m to 3,860m | Distance: 10 km | Walking Hours: 5-6 hours

Hike through lovely forests of rhododendron and magnolia, while taking in stunning views of the mountains all day long. Bench to Phunki Tenga, cross the river, and ascend steeply uphill via forest trails. Arrive at the world's famous Tengboche Monastery, the biggest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region. Attend evening prayer ceremonies, monks chanting, and world-class sunset views of Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam!


Day 6: October 30, 2026 - Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)

Altitude: 3,860m to 4,410m | Distance: 12 km | Walking Hours: 5-6 hours

Walk downhill through beautiful forests to Debuche village, cross the Imja Khola River on a suspension bridge, and slowly ascend uphill. Go through Pangboche, the highest permanent Sherpa village with a historic monastery. Walk through alpine meadows—now open grasslands on either side—with superb views of Island Peak and the south face of Lhotse. You reach Dingboche village, which is anchored by stone-walled fields with unbelievable mountain views surrounding everywhere you look.


Day 7: October 31, 2026 - Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,410m)

Altitude: 4,410m (hike to 5,100m) | Distance: 4 km | Walking Hours: 3-4 hours

A crucial acclimatization day where you can optimally adapt your body to the lower air pressure due to the elevation. Optionally hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung village for stunning 360-degree views of Makalu, Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Allow your body to rest, hydrate well, pay attention to altitude sickness symptoms, and prepare mentally and physically for the tough higher altitude trekking days ahead.


Day 8: November 1, 2026 - Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

Altitude: 4,410m to 4,940m | Distance: 8 km | Walking Hours: 5-6 hours

Trek alongside the enormous Khumbu Glacier's lateral moraine and bask in magnificent mountain views for the entire day. Walk through Dughla and climb a steep memorial hill, where stone cairns recall the brave climbers who died on expeditions to Everest. Continue the trek over rocky ground, where the scenery becomes even more striking. Arrive at Lobuche, which will be your final overnight stop before reaching Everest Base Camp tomorrow.

Day 9: November 2, 2026 - Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m) – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – Back to Gorak Shep

Altitude: 4,940m to 5,364m to 5,164m | Distance: 15 km | Walking Hours: 7-8 hours

The most significant and contentious day of your whole journey starts off with an early morning departure to Gorak Shep. After leaving your bags at the lodge, you'll trek to Everest Base Camp across the Khumbu Glacier. Once at the base camp of the tallest mountain, you'll be able to take pictures to remember this moment, celebrate your accomplishment, and immerse yourself in the history of this famous site. After you've had your time at base camp you'll trek back to Gorak Shep for a rest.


Day 10: November 3, 2026 - Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Descend to Pheriche (4,371m)

Altitude: 5,164m to 5,545m to 4,371m | Distance: 16 km | Walking Hours: 8-9 hours

Awaken before dawn for the demanding pre-sunrise hike toward Kala Patthar, the highest point on your treks at 5,545 meters. Watch as magical golden sunrise light reveals Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, and giant Himalayan mountains in stunning glory. Experience the most stunning mountain vista of the whole journey. Descend back through Lobuche, continuing lower to Pheriche for a more comfortable overnight stay at oxygen-rich lower altitude.


Day 11: November 4, 2026 - Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Altitude: 4,371m to 3,440m | Distance: 15 km | Walking Hours: 6-7 hours

A long day of descending retracing your steps passing the villages of Pangboche and Tengboche monastery. Cross a number of suspension bridges over rushing glacial rivers below. With the air thicker you will find breathing much easier and feel your energy returning at a lower elevation. You will realize just how rapidly your body recovers after descending back to oxygen-rich altitude. Have fun with your team this evening celebrating your successful trek to Everest Base Camp in the bustling neighborhood of Namche Bazaar.


Day 12: November 5, 2026 - Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m)

Altitude: 3,440m to 2,860m | Distance: 18 km | Walking Hours: 6-7 hours

Your day of trekking wraps up with a walk steadily downwards through lovely pine and rhododendron forests in route to the Lukla airstrip. You will travel through or past villages that you passed through on your way in including Phakding, Benkar, Chheplung, all three of which have a suspension bridge you crossed on your way in. There will be a moment to reflect on what has truly been a great journey and your own personal achievement in the Himalayas. That evening you will celebrate with your guide and porter, and trekking team. Share a traditional dinner and cultural elements of reflection on the trek.


Day 13: November 6, 2026 - Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400m)

Altitude: 2,860m to 1,400m | Distance: Flight | Flight Duration: 35-40 minutes

Awake early for your return flight to Kathmandu, and enjoy one last stunning view of the magnificent Himalayan mountain range below! You will transfer to your hotel in Thamel for two nights, where you will enjoy a wonderful hot shower, rest your tired muscles, and shop for souvenirs in the markets. This evening, you will conclude the journey of your successful trek with a special farewell dinner while enjoying a delicious Nepali meal and watching a cultural performance.


Day 14: November 7, 2026 - Final Departure from Kathmandu

Altitude: 1,400m | Distance: N/A | Walking Hours: N/A

Your last day in gorgeous Nepal includes free time for final souvenir shopping in the busy Thamel markets, visiting ancient temples and stupas, relaxing your hotel or enjoying authentic Nepali food one last time. Our company representative will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport about three hours before you flight for your international departure.
